The Bellow Seal Gate Valve is specially engineered for industrial applications where preventing stem leakage is critical. Unlike conventional gate valves that primarily rely on gland packing around the stem, this valve incorporates a welded metallic bellows assembly that expands and contracts with stem movement while maintaining a sealed barrier.
The bellows design significantly reduces the possibility of process media escaping through the stem area, helping improve workplace safety, environmental protection, and operational reliability. Many designs also incorporate secondary packing or a metal backseat as an additional sealing layer.
The valve uses a gate mechanism for full open/full close isolation, providing a relatively unrestricted flow path when fully open. Depending on the design, it can be supplied with flexible or solid wedges, flanged, butt-weld, or socket-weld connections, and manual or automated operation.
